Meet the Team

The JMS Financial team has over 50 years of experience in the finance industry.

Marlon is the founder of JMS Financial Ltd and has a particular specialism in operational real estate asset classes, including prime commercial offices, private rental schemes, logistics and warehouses.

During his 20 years + experience as the business owner, Marlon has arranged loans for projects with GDVs up to £1bn, which has also involved acquisition of substantial residential developments and prime commercial sites in London on behalf of Middle East-based private and institutional clients.

Marlon’s experience in the industry underlines his solid knowledge of the commercial finance markets, ensuring special relationships with lenders, access to exclusive products and direct contact with lender underwriters when necessary. Marlon has a team with a passion about finance that underlines getting his clients the right result.

Serina has over 15 years’ experience within the financial services industry working as an advisor for large brokerages and previously running her own small brokerage. Serina has a wealth of experience in property investment and management having invested in BTL properties at an early age growing it into a large portfolio a few years later resulting in opening her own estate agency business at the age of 27 managing a substantial number of landlord portfolios as well as her own.

Serina is CeMap qualified and truly loves the challenge of helping her client’s property financial needs – especially dealing with difficult to place mortgage enquiries which is her speciality. On joining the JMS Group Serina said  ‘I love finding the right solutions for my clients, giving them the tools to understand the financial products available and how to make their money work for them using residential, buy to let and commercial finance.  With this, my clients are confident enough to pass on that knowledge and encourage building wealth within their community.

Carl Townsend has over 20 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, historically focusing in both the residential & commercial intermediary markets.

Carl has a passion for funding solutions in the BTL sector, especially around portfolio lending, and personal experience in portfolio finance products when developing his own property portfolio – this demonstrates a sound knowledge for lender criteria requirements when dealing with large portfolio enquiries.

Joining the JMS Financial team, has given Carl the platform to encompass all areas of commercial finance intermediary advice not previously available, such as Bridging and Development Finance which he believes is key to ensuring his clients are offered a full suite of commercial finance solutions to each individual enquiry.
